The Continuous Improvement Priority Schools (CIPS) initiative seeks to ensure that all students achieve adequate yearly progress (AYP) as mandated by the No Child Left Behind Act (NCLB). By 2014, the goal is for every student to meet established performance standards based on comprehensive data evaluation. The development of a CIPS goal plan, led by a dedicated in-school team of administrators, parents, and teachers, aims to build a roadmap for professional development in targeted areas, fostering short- and long-term performance improvements.
