    6. Practice Learning 4 Nationally funded projects, informing 3 broad programmes of work with an overall aim of enhancing learner experience:

MENTOR SUPPORT: Supporting Mentors in the Care Home Sector ISSUE: Evidence suggests opportunity to develop pre-registration student learning experiences and mentor support across care home practice placements. ACTION: Education facilitators are being recruited to support care home practice placements, with a specific focus on enhancing the student experience and developing the learning environment. IMPACT: Enhance the development of pre-registration nursing students in care home practice placements, providing support to mentors through education and development activities and contributing to the care setting as a positive learning environment.

Care Home Education Facilitators 14 WTE across Scotland 2 year initiative Work primarily with Care Homes for older people within an NHS Board geographical area Managed within NHS Board, close links with HEI, PEFs. Build on existing relationships, partnership working with an enhancement focus
