Our Future Programs • Training & Capacity Building on Disaster Preparedness on continuous basis as per training calendar 2008-09 • To Initiate District Disaster Management Plan Preparation for every District of Jharkhand • Adaptation of Incident Command System in Jharkhand Context • To initiate the Establishment and Operationalizing of Emergency Operations Centre (EOC) in the state. • To initiate the constitution of SDMA & DDMA • Seven training programmes on CRF and Disaster Management Act planned for Disaster Management Deptt., Jharkhand as per their requirements • To promote Disaster Management Centre as a Centre of Excellence for Training on Disaster Management in Eastern Zone of India
Challenges • Funding for both faculty & training programs • Establishment of GIS / RS Lab for DMC • Support Staff – Research Officer • Training Modules & Resource Persons for specialized training • Lack of resources, Infrastructure etc.
