My Childhood Reading Journey: Discovering the Magic of Words

Growing up in a family of four as the oldest daughter, I was surrounded by the joys of reading. Frequent library trips with my friendly librarian, Gwen, and bedtime stories from Mom nurtured my love for books. I fondly remember practicing reading "Chicka Chicka Boom Boom" for my kindergarten class. My favorites ranged from Dr. Seuss and Berenstain Bears to Goosebumps and Roald Dahl. My reading adventures shaped my imagination and nurtured my curiosity about the world, laying the foundation for a lifelong passion for stories.

(I don’t remember this, but she once told me that when I was little, she tried to tell me the version of The Three Little Pigs she grew up with. But I would cry when the first two pigs got eaten, so she had to change the story so that they survived by running away at the last minute).
