It is a 2year journeythat I look forward to taking with you!Cathy & the Confirmation team REQUIREMENTS Copy of your Baptismal Certificate is due to the Confirmation director by Oct 12th (2nd Confirmation Candidate & Sponsor class.) Confirmation Sacrament date has not been set by the diocese. We will let you know as soon as we know. We are asking for the date to be April 20th No promises!!. SPONSORS- (per canon law) A sponsor must be at the Sacrament mass – they must be confirmed themselves – over the age of 16- a Catholic in Good Standing And a Practicing Catholic. They can NOT be your parent. Your parent is to be with you during the classes if your sponsor can not attend. SAINT NAMEYou must chose a saint name & write an essay on why your chose that saint to pray for youfor your lifetimeCONFIRMATION QUIZ Father will be doing interviews with each student at the end of 8th gradeTWO RETREATS are required 1 PER YEAR Mark your calendar - Sept 26/27 Homeless Overnight Experience 7pm -8am - Nov. 16th 1:30pm to 6:30pm PRAYER RETREAT- February 6/7 FOOD FAST RETREAT 7pm -12 noon - March 15th 1:30pm to 6:30 pm LENT RETREATSERVICE HOURS (you can begin recording in August of your 7th grade year.)40 hours of Service are required Service Hour Log on Faith Formation CounterIn 10 hrs. each of 4 Categories10- World (Food fast can be world service hrs. OR a retreat)10- Church (benefitting St Peter)10 – Community10 – Family (chores OUTSIDE the realm of regular chores) All service hours questions must be OK’d with St Peter Confirmation Director (Cathy) St Peter Confirmation 2014-2015THE NEW CHOSEN PROGRAM This Program needs 20+ Volunteers to make it work!
