What is a Cluster Subdivision? • Cluster subdivisions are residential developments which offer an alternative to traditional subdivision design, with the principle purpose being to encourage open space in exchange for a reduced lot size.

Purpose of a Cluster Subdivision Development • Promotes integrated site design that is considerate to the natural features and topography • Protect environmentally sensitive areas and protect natural features • Minimizing non-point source pollution through reducing the area of impervious surface • Encourage more areas of open space for recreation and social interaction
