  2. Turn to page K2 in the Student Handout Packet Answer the following questions.

  3. What type of single phase fan motor is used on this equipment?

  4. You should notice there are no starting relays or capacitors. It can only be a Shaded Pole.

  5. Does the fan and limit have a jumper? Refer back to K1 if you need help in answering this question.

  6. Your answer should be: YES

  7. This circuit is for heating only. The fan motor is only single speed. What is the switching action of the FR?

  8. Your answer should be: SPDT

  9. You will now draw thePictorialby following the Schematic

  10. The process will be to follow the schematic one wire at a time from one component to another component until we are finished.

  11. The slides that follow will show the wire in RED on the schematic that is going to be wired on the pictorial. Then the pictorial slide will show that wire being ‘installed.’ That is the wire you are to place on your pictorial. Keep advancing through the slides until you are finished with the pictorial.

  12. Turn to page K2a and you will see 1. the 24 v circuit is completed.2. there is a square ‘junction box’ that the wires will run from this box. So let’s get started.
