Join us as we explore life’s purpose through faith, community, and individual contributions. This holiday season, we will reflect on how God has uniquely created each of us for a purpose, similar to the ingredients in a cake. Discover how the church equips us to connect and serve, guided by the Holy Spirit. Our events include Christmas Morning Service at 9 AM, and a celebration gathering on January 8 at 7 PM. Let’s come together to recognize our roles in a greater purpose and the joy of fellowship.

Announcements • Bible Studies Thursday Night • No Christmas Eve Service • Christmas Morning Service – Service at 9 am, over by 10:00 am • Fire Company has their New Years Dinner on 1/1 (so we can’t have service) • Fire Company Breakfast 1/8 • Celebration gathering 1/8 @ 7 PM
Brown Paper Bags • The Father created you with a purpose and use in life. Before Christ, you aren’t sure what that is • Without a decision to serve Jesus, life is empty, we know there has to be more to life • We may have an idea how we fit, but we are not certain • Brown, same as everyone else, not sure what’s inside, seems a little pointless
When we accept Christ • We now realize that we have a purpose • Some are baking soda, some are eggs, some are vanilla, some are flour, but we are all an ingredient • We aren’t sure how He will use us, but we know that we have unique form • We need to diligently seek Him, knowing He will use us as necessary
The Holy Spirit gives direction • The recipe cards are the Holy Spirit’s way of showing us how we connect to the larger whole • Did you know what type of cake we were making when you were just an egg? • Were you disappointed your job was to turn on the oven? • How well would the cake come out if the oven was never turned on?
The Church equips • Without tools like mixers, bowls, spoons, and an oven, it would have been much more difficult to put all the ingredients together • The church does not tell you what you are • The church does not tell you how you fit • The church does not take all your ingredients and mix them all together
The icing • Just because most of the ingredients were going in the cake, doesn’t mean the icing ingredients didn’t matter. • Different people, different call, different ministry, different function • Without their contribution, the cake would not have been nearly as complete
The result • A Father created set of ingredients • Given purpose through a life committed to Jesus • Directed by the Holy Spirit to be a part of something bigger than themselves • Facilitated by a church that equips • Connected together through fellowship in working together for a greater good
Italian Crème Cake • A unique creation • Represents each individual contribution to something much greater than any one of our ingredients • Fused together through some mixing, beating, and heat • And we all get to benefit from what has been created by God’s hand, and our contribution
