About HKS • Offers five masters degree and four PhD programs, and four executive education course programs • Comprises 45% international students from 90 countries in master’s and doctoral degree programs • Enrolls 3,000 individuals in 34 executive education courses in four portfolio areas each year. • Estimates 30,000 degreed and senior executive Alumni representing 170 countries • Celebrates prominent alumni such as UN Secretary General Ban Ki-Moon, World Bank President Robert Zellick, Mexico President Felipe Calderon, Singapore PM Lee Hsien Loong, Liberia President Ellen Johnson, Hong Kong Chief Executive Sir Donald Tsang

About HKS – Degree Programs • Provide students with the necessary skills in analysis, management, and advocacy and with an ability to call on these skills under ever-changing circumstances. • Master in Public Policy (MPP) • Master in Public Policy/Urban Planning (MPP/UP) • Master in Public Administration (MPA2) • Master in Public Administration/International Development (MPA/ID) • Mid-Career Master in Public Administration (MC/MPA) • Harvard Kennedy School offers both joint and concurrent degrees with selected professional schools at Harvard University.

HKS Alumni Association Board of Directors • International representative body of 30,000 HKS Alumni led by 20 elected alumni leaders • Purposes of the Board: • Communicate the interests and concerns of HKS alumni worldwide to the Dean, faculty, and students • Propose and support programs to enhance the well-being of HKS alumni • Encourage communication of the School's activities, priorities, and educational resources to alumni • Promote valuable networking among alumni • Act as a resource to HKS Alumni Associations worldwide

Starting an Alumni Association • Requires a Champion and Core Group • Develop Vision and Mission Statements • Acquire the Data Base • Identify Successful Alumni • Raise Funds • Design Working Committees • Connect with School • Create Communications – website, emails groups, public relations, media, etc.

Philippine HKS Alumni Foundation • Membership – degree, executive education, other Harvard graduates in government (no fees) • Diversity of members – nationals and foreigners; public, private and donor community • Officers and Board Members – elected every two years • Council of Advisors – highest appointed and elected officials and CEOs • SEC registered Foundation – Fundraising • Working Committees - Events, Fundraising, Communications
