Special Education Goals • The district is required to submit a special education plan to PDE every 3 years outlining our goals • Special Education Data Reports –State Performance Plan targets • Our Special Education Plan has been approved by PDE for the next 3 years with goals that are aligned to the district’s 5 year plan

Goals for 2011-2014 • Establish district-wide understanding of Special Education, including co-teaching and inclusion • Increase the number of programs for students with IEPs that are offered and administered by the District • Improve student services to support the academic, social, emotional, behavioral and physical needs of all students

  8. 4. Develop a culture of inclusion within the district as evidenced by an increase in the number of general education classrooms that include students with IEPs Increase opportunities to involve parents in trainings provided by the district Increase academic performance of students with IEPs
