  2. If I Were the Devil… • “Our Father, which art in Washington…” • Dirtier movies & TV • Unions…loafing & less work…idle hands • Drugs, alcohol • Schools let emotions run wild • Atheists supported • Rule in favor of pornography

  3. If I Were the Devil… • Evict God from Courthouse…school house…houses of Congress…His Own House (psychology for religion, deify science) • Cultivate class envy

  5. The Only Ground We’ve Got • People have so much • Feel they’re saved in sin • We’re all getting to heaven by different roads • Attacks on God • Corruption & Immorality abound But…

  6. It’s the Only Ground We’ve Got Therefore… • We need to work it, Coming & Going

  7. Come To God & Learn • Every man needs salvation • Rom 3:23 • 1Jn 1:8-10 • Jesus is personally interested in EVERY soul • Common people Mk 12:35-37 • Sinners, beggars, outcasts & tax collectors Mt 9:9-12, Lk 15:1, Mt 11:4-5 • Rich, powerful, intellectual, Jn 3, Luke 18, Mt 27

Come to God & Learn • Jesus’ love & willingness to be the answer to man’s lost state • In Life & Death • 2Cor 8:9 For you know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that though He was rich, yet for your sakes He became poor, that you through His poverty might become rich. • Heb 2:9 But we see Jesus, who was made a little lower than the angels, for the suffering of death crowned with glory and honor, that He, by the grace of God, might taste death for everyone.

  10. Come to God & Learn • How to reach the lost • Mt 4:18-20, learn from their examples • We must prepare ourselves first • 1Cor 9:27 But I discipline my body and bring it into subjection, lest, when I have preached to others, I myself should become disqualified.

Come to God & Learn • Cannot teach unless we know the material • Verses for Plan of Salvation? • Refute commonly held error • Give a reason for your belief? • Heb 5:12 For though by this time you ought to be teachers, you need someone to teach you again the first principles of the oracles of God; and you have come to need milk and not solid food.

  16. GO Teach • Think of Others • Kindness • If the tables were turned • Drop Hints • Season your speech with subjects of God • We don’t hesitate to share deals, specials • Ask questions, offer answers • Offer to study or to set one up

  17. GO Teach • Invite to services • Explain order • Be there, be helpful • Get out of your comfort zone • Never hide the truth, don’t back down

  18. Conclusion • Are you working the ground you’ve got? • Opportunities often disappear whether we’re ready for them to or not • Commit now, don’t let another pass you by • If you’re not a Christian, don’t let the Devil win • Hear, Believe, Repent, Confess & Be Baptized
