  3. Why should you be interested in electrical potentials in biology?

  4. Why should you be interested in electrical potentials in biology? They are present across the membranes of all cells and are necessary for maintenance of the internal fluid composition. They are the basis of nerve impulses that underlie the functioning of the brain and all our senses. They are the basis of the rhythm of the heart and the contraction of heart muscle as well as the contraction of skeletal muscle They are useful in clinical medicine for diagnosis.
