This action plan outlines long-term goals for improving the teaching of Physics at The City School, Gulshan Boys Campus. By adopting 21st-century teaching methods, we aim to create engaging, well-structured studies focused on practical and experimental Physics for all students. Short-term goals incorporate Bloom’s Taxonomy to enhance understanding and recall. A variety of instructional strategies, including hands-on projects and collaborative learning, will be employed. Resources, challenges, and assessments are addressed to ensure a comprehensive and effective learning experience.

ACTION PLAN Nudrat Haque SR I Physics The City School Gulshan Boys Campus
LONG TERM GOAL Adopting 21st Century Teaching Approaches to provide well-designed studies of experimental and practical Physics and a worthwhile educational experience for all students.
Knowledge 1. A quick Question/Answer Session to recall students’ previous knowledge. For instance: • What is energy? • What kinds of energy have you use today? 2. Lecture on Potential and Kinetic Energy http://www-istp.gsfc.nasa.gov/stargaze/Senergy.htm • http://www.alistaircraven.com/java/basic/basic.htm Lesson Plan
Lesson Plan • Understanding • Use the table of energy conversions to tell which form is • converted into which. • In an electric fan? • In an elevator winch? • In a light emitting diode? • In a car battery?
Lesson Plan • Application • Divide students into pairs. • Direct students to the following Web site: • http://www.learner.org/exhibits/parkphysics/coaster/. • & follow the prompts to design a safe and • exciting roller coaster ride. • Ask them to make decisions about • the following: • The height of the first hill • The shape of the first hill • The exit path • The height of the second hill • The loop • http://www.discoveryeducation.com/teachers/free-lesson-plans/elements-of-physics-energy-and-work.cfm
Lesson Plan Analysis: Students will analyse why their design have succeeded or failed? Evaluation: Students will find out about each step in their coaster design in their safety inspection.
Lesson Plan Creation: Create a Project on Kinetic or Potential Energy http://www.energyquest.ca.gov/projects/index.html http://www.sciencebuddies.org/science-fair-projects/project_ideas/Phys_p037.shtml http://kathy.kleinsteiber.com/youngengineers/lessons/L1-2.pdf http://www.lessonplanspage.com/ScienceExCanIMakeARollerCoasterMO68.htm

Acknowledgement I would like to extend my gratitude to Intel Trainers and The City school management for providing me the opportunity to enhance my professional skills.
CONCLUSION By implementing 21st century teaching skills, students & teachers will benefit equally as it will make learning Physics more fun, easy to comprehend and interactive.
