  3. Background Information • The most popular types of streaks are light/bright and dark streaks, and it is seen where craters, hills, and scarps are. Bibliography

  5. Background information • Type two: dark streaks are both optically and thermally distinct from the surrounding terrain. They are thermally thick (more than a few cm). Their range of thermal-inertia values corresponds to sand-size particles.
