The Ken-Ton Transportation Department has a rich history dating back to the late 1950s. Initially relying on Willy's Bus Service, the department now operates a fleet of 30 buses, employing mainly male drivers. Today, we proudly have more female drivers from diverse backgrounds, transporting over 6,000 students. Our drivers undergo rigorous training, including classroom courses, background checks, and ongoing safety meetings. We are regulated by three agencies ensuring safety, qualifications, and transportation standards. Our dedication to student safety is emphasized through school visits and proactive education.

History • Our present transportation department was fully active in the late 1950s. Prior to that, Ken-Ton contracted with Willy’s Bus Service to transport its students. • In 1958, we had approximately 30 buses which were all parked inside the bus garage on Colvin Boulevard. Our drivers were mainly policemen and firemen and were exclusively male. • We now have more female drivers than male drivers from very diverse backgrounds. For 2008-09, we have about 8,400 students enrolled in Ken-Ton of which more than 6,000 are transported.
