Exploring the Ocean Floor: A Journey into Oceanography and Marine Life

Oceanography is the study of the ocean, revealing the rich and diverse life forms that inhabit the ocean floor. With 97% of Earth's water found in oceans, many fascinating features exist, including mountains, plains, and volcanoes. Oceanographers, who possess diverse scientific backgrounds, investigate these underwater mysteries. They may work in various settings, from ships to research institutions, often requiring six years of higher education. This field not only studies marine life but also encompasses biology, chemistry, geology, and meteorology.

  1. Oceanography Studding the ocean floor

  2. I am interested in the ocean and what it living down there.???

  3. I’ve learned that there is amazing life down there that is waiting to be explored. • The ocean floor has mountains, plains, and volcanoes. • 97% of the water is in the ocean. • The ocean contains 20million ton of gold

  4. Oceanographers are scientists who study the sea. Oceanography incorporates features of many sciences, including biology, chemistry, geology, and meteorology. For this reason, oceanographers have varied backgrounds and do many kinds of work. Oceanographers may work on ships or in laboratories on land. Some work for private companies. Most work for research institutes or government agencies, or hold teaching and research jobs in colleges and universities. • Oceanography requires a 6 years post-secondary education/training and a high school diploma and bachelor’s degree. • They make $87,007 a year

  5. This year in biology I have learned about the study of some animals that live in the ocean.
