This guide outlines essential stages of client interviews: Pre-Interview, Introductory, Developmental, Termination, and Post-Interview activities. Each stage emphasizes strategies for establishing rapport, exploring client concerns, and developing tailored treatment plans. The importance of empathy, ethical considerations, and effective communication is highlighted. The goal is to provide social workers with tools to foster a collaborative environment, assess bio-psycho-social factors, clarify issues, and empower clients. Successfully summarizing and planning future steps concludes the interview process.
