  3. Workgroup Purpose • House exemplars of best practices, in a vendor-neutral way, to prevent the need to start from scratch with each EHR implementation • Increase learning, sharing wisdom and lessons learned • Create the ability to build upon prior generations • Prevent process redundancy

  4. Objective • E-Repository development supporting • Sharing and disseminating nursing best practice standards, tools, and concepts • Collaboration and dissemination of nursing products and ideas • A creative and collaborative digital environment globally accessible

Our Journey Virginia Henderson Library hosting an e-Library 2018 Need to evaluate e-repository workflow and determine best methods to disseminate nursing best practices 2017 Work groups expanded Transforming Nursing Documentation WG formed 2016 WG spinoff looking at a repository for nursing documentation of best practices 10 work groups formed 2015 2014

  6. Off and Running in 2019 • Out of the gate, the team • Determined the need to compare multiple e-repository options • Reframed the pilot project looking deeper into existing use and interest • Considered more open and easily accessible options

Accomplishments • Faculty Survey: usability, user friendliness of Virginia Henderson Repository • 57% of nursing faculty knew of the repository • 26% of faculty who knew of repository used it • REDCap usability survey for data entry • 3 respondents • 1 noted difficulties using Virginia Henderson site • Submission was rejected

Accomplishments - 2 • Discussion – pros and cons of Virginia Henderson Repository and development of new repository to be linked with Nursing Big Data LinkedIn site • Framework and criteria development • Logistics of housing the e-repository in the LinkedIn site • Usability • Dissemination needs and abilities

  9. Next Steps • LinkedIn site interface • Phase 1 • Landing page development • Process development and testing • Linkage of submission to work groups • Initial upload testing • Phase 2 • Increased usability • Extension of upload process • Continued process evaluation We need your help

  11. Phase 2 • PDF will become online form • Ask them to send you a designated workgroup member for submitting resources • Workgroup member will be registered and able to submit • List of potential resources you want to share
