  1. Begin Here Instrument Family Webquest In this activity you will become more familiar with the Instrument Families of the orchestra by sight and sound. You will learn how about two instruments from each family. You will also learn a fact about each of the families. You will be divided into groups of four.

  2. The Task Your group’s job will be: Task 1 Task 2 Task 3 Task 4 Each person in your group will pick one of the four instrument families to work with. Each group member will use a different instrument family from the other group members. Back to the Beginning

  3. Task #1 To locate two instruments from each of the four families Back to the Task List

  4. Task #2 Write down the following about each instrument you select How do you play it? What is it made of ? What do you like about it? Back to the Task List

  5. Task #3 • find a site to listen to the instrument and write down how it sounds to you Back to the Task List

  6. Task #4 • Find a site to print off a picture of each instrument Back to the Task List
