8 th Grade STEM Agenda

This week’s 8th-grade STEM agenda focuses on two key learning targets: the design process for shipping container homes and technology use for drug and alcohol awareness. Students will engage in brainstorming and designing 800 sq. ft. layouts, creating floor plans, and utilizing REVIT for their projects.   2. 8th Grade Agenda 10/21 • Learning Target: I can work through the design process for Shipping Container Homes. • Engineering Notebooks! • TO DO TODAY: (Shipping Containers) • Brainstorm/research layouts for 800 sq. ft. homes • Work on 3 designs (floor plan layouts, rooms, walls) • Decision Matrix?

  3. If working in REVIT: • COMPLETE • Floor plan • Furniture • Appliances • Dimensions of house & for rooms • Room Labels • Everything should look correct! • Sinks should be in a countertop on a cabinet, etc.
