  1. Colour-Me-Calm Here to make a difference.

  2. What is Colour-Me-Calm? Our project is an original environmental and social idea. Our plan is to paint murals around the lower mainland to reduce graffiti and rude tags, beautifying the areas. We will create murals in well populated places around the lower mainland for everyone to see. We want to support local artists, creating a strong community feeling. We want to start local, making Surrey a safe and beautiful place to live.

  3. Where? • The Color-Me-Calm Project will start locally in Surrey, BC and hopefully expand with time, targeting the effected areas of our community. Ranging from bus stops and small buildings to subway pillars or demolished structures. As we get more recognition, we can spread the art to more and more places 

  4. 100,000 People Hours! • The colour-Me-Calm project will recruit people to do volunteer work, these people are able and willing to help the planet. This project will also help take criminals and undo their wrong. Activities this project will consist of will be, making murals, or sculptures which are where the hours will come in. The labor required to make the process of this project successful will, be to gather supplies, aswell as funding to support this project to make it even more successful. • How we will complete this task? • To complete the task at hand, Colour-Me -Calm project will need support, from the community. The community can do simple things by spreading the word and advertisement. As well as social media such as twitter, facebook, tumblr in the generation, of today it will spread like wildfire.

  5. Timeline • As we start off locally in Canada, Colour-Me-Calm will become well known enough, assuming that most of the artwork created was not tagged, to get more popular over the internet. People will spread on CMC online to others. Some time after the spreading it will get on the news. Not only locals will know about it but the all of North America. If all of North America knows about it, then the word will spread and people will be encouraged to do this in their hometown. • Sooner or later, the whole world could have bad people redeeming themselves and set foot on the right track to being good people. The world will be such a happy and a colourful place, and being a part of such a beautiful place will be very moving.

  6. Our Motivation... • Why? Why would our group choose to save our beautiful city from rude, delinquent tags? Well, our opening sentence describes just that. For years our city has been dealing with these tags and our group wants to take a stand and say “Why tag something when it’s already tagged as beautiful?” • If you walk down the street in, let’s say, Newton, how far can you go before you see a tag? Five seconds? Six? Tags are harmful and disrespectful towards the people of Surrey and it’s time to put a stop to it, and that’s exactly what the Colour-Me-Calm project is about.
