MISSION The mission of Operation IMPACT is to provide career transition support to military service members and their families who have been severely wounded/ill/injured In combat operations in support to the global war on terror. Eligibility Criteria To be eligible for the personalized career transition services offered through Operation IMPACT, the candidate must meet the following criteria: • Suffer from injuries or illnesses incurred while deployed in overseas contingency operations supporting Operation Iraqi Freedom (OIF) and/or Operation Enduring Freedom (OEF) since September 11, 2001 • And either • Receive a physical disability rating of 30% or greater from the DOD or VA in one or more specific categories that substantially affect one or more major life functions: Blindness/loss of vision Post Traumatic Stress Deafness/hearing loss Severe burns Fatal/incurable disease Spinal cord injury/paralysis Loss of limb Traumatic Brain Injury Permanent disfigurement Any other condition requiring extensive hospitalizations or multiple surgeries ….or b. Receive a combined physical disability rating equal to or greater than 50% for any other combat or combat related condition.

Our Commitment • A personal point of contact to market the individual’s skills throughout the enterprise, assist with identifying potential job placement, assist with resume writing, and provide support and mentoring through interview stage, hiring process and beyond • Once a candidate has accepted an offer of employment, OI Health Services will conduct an assessment of job accommodations that should be required for the candidate to be successful and will work with the manager to ensure accommodations are provided. • On a case-by-case basis, we will work with the service member to identify and provide pre- and post-employment training

Recruiting for Operation IMPACT Candidates • Northrop Grumman actively recruits qualified candidates for the Operation IMPACT program • Referrals from the various service’s wounded warrior programs; i.e., AW2, USMC WWR, USN Safe Harbor, USAF W2 Program • Referrals from other organizations, such as (list not inclusive) • Wounded Warrior Project • VA Hospitals • State Vocational Rehabilitation & Employment Counselors • VetSuccess Employment Coordinators • Various service organizations; i.e., Paralyzed Veterans of America, American Legion • Employee Referrals • Targeted job fairs • Website

Network of Champions • The OI Network of Champions (NOC) was established in May 2009 as a forum to: • Build community partnerships • Provide wider network for employment opportunities for wounded warriors • Share information on various outreach activities • Leverage best practices • In the instance when Northrop Grumman is unable to identify a career opportunity, with the candidate’s permission his/her resume will be shared with the NOC • Candidate list distributed to NOC members monthly • All candidates referred meet the eligibility criteria for OI support • Only resume and information regarding their skills and abilities are shared; no information on their disability is provided

Network of Champions Expectations • There’s no membership fee or cost to join the OI NOC! • Members are expected to: • Treat the candidate listing we provide as a “priority placement” list and seriously consider the candidates for opportunities in your company • Proactively contact candidates for positions in your organization • Think outside the box for opportunities for placement • Let us know if you make a placement from one of our referrals; we’d like to share in the celebration! • Attend regularly scheduled meetings (typically quarterly with an annual symposium held in March)
