Steps for writing information on Foldable • On the first tab, put the Unit, Chapter, Section and your name • Next, flip the foldable over and write the terms and definitions on the back of the foldable (will be your glossary, slide 22-23) • Last, write the information on the foldable, using the numbers as a guide for what information goes on what slide (should have 7 numbers and seven tabs) (begins with slide 5: Head of State)

  20. Definition of Terms • Executive orders- Rules that have the force of law • Impoundment- Puts aside, refuses to spend, money Congress has given for a certain reason • Reprieve- Postponement of legal punishment • Pardon- Release from legal punishment

  21. Definition of Terms • Amnesty- group pardon for an offense against government • Patronage- appointment to political office • Treaties- formal agreement between two governments or countries • Executive agreements- pacts between president and other heads of foreign govt
