Location: Disneyland is located just off I-5 in Anaheim, California, one hour south of downtown Los Angeles. The Grand original, as some call it, Disneyland is the true work of art, the only park that Walt saw finish, and the only one that some think has true Magic running ups its turnstiles and through its castle drawbridge. Disneyland has over 59 attractions, 23 restaurants, and entertainment options that can take your breath away. Disneyland was the first Disney theme park in the world, the first to introduce It’s a Small World, Pirates, Splash Mountain, and Snow White.
Disneyland is the home of pleasant mistakes, and amazing surprises. Imagine a world when Disneyland was first, nobody had ever dreamed of a world with a real castle in the middle of Orange County, nobody has thought that a regular middle-class citizen could travel through the pages of a book in a matter of minutes. It was all in Disneyland for the eyes of the world to see. Even today some attractions are only in Disneyland, or maybe only in the United States for short (meaning not in Magic Kingdom or Disney World).
History As many people noted Disneyland actually was first created by Walt Disney during an outing with his daughters when he sat down on a bench some 50 years ago at Griffith park. But the reality took years to create. When created, though, Disneyland was dedicated land-by-land with only 4 original ones, now with over 8 Disneyland been redone and re-imagined many times.
Fact: Recently in 2008 Disneyland was condemed the theme park in the world, and one of the best in the world on the Theme Park Insider! Hours: Disneyland is open 365 days a year. The Fourth of July and the days between Christmas and the Rose Bowl Game are the busiest days of the year.
