  2. More then 11,000men were either killed or injured at ANZAC Cove. On the first evening over 2,000 Australians were killed or wounded of the 16,000 men which landed that evening.

Who were the Turks? • The Turks were the enemy at Gallipoli and were pretty strong at that they created many terrible weapons including a certain “explosive bullets” which caused terrible wounds like the Australian emplacement guns which also caused terrible wounds. The Turkish explosive bullet was filled with gunpowder and when makes impact explodes not like the Japanese incendiary bullet. Which burned on impact.

  5. The Ottoman Empire were getting to much power. In 1914 the cabled reports from Europe gave an increasingly desperate forecast. Europe was going towards war in a conflict between the more stronger and powerful German Empire and the rival British, French and Russian alliance. Ottoman Empire Germany

What was it like being a medic? • There was one medic in particular “ the man with the donkey” • Simpson was his name and saving lives was his game he tended wounded in the trenches after carrying them on his donkey sometimes tending them on the battle field, while tending a wounded soilder he was killed trying to save lives he was the man with the donkey. Making him one of the best medics in the whole war. Sacrificing your own life to save one that’s takes a lot of bravery. The combat medical badge

  7. Australia's medals are all in there • .The Australians were awarded various medals at Gallipoli here are some of them. .1 VC- Victoria cross, Awarded for bravery in face of the enemy. And is also the highest military award. 10 people have won the Victoria cross .2 BCOF- British commonwealth occupational forces, Awarded to any veteran who had served one day on the strength of the unit, any unit within the British commonwealth forces. As far as the internet knows there only has been 1, Robert “Bob” Thompson • .3 SG-Star of Gallantry, Is a military decoration awarded to personnel of the Australian defence force and other persons recognised by the minister of defence. It is awarded for great acts of heroism or gallantry In action under great peril. Harry Smith has but not at Gallipoli he was awarded it at LongTan.

  9. The Gallipoli peninsula, Turkey where the Turks rained bullet fire down on the landing ANZACS from a mountain. And the mountain was pretty high so the Turks had a high vantage point and lots of snipers.

  14. What was the Australian army uniform like? • As far as I have heard the Australian uniform was itchy and mostly full of lice. And because of the weight of the uniform when in medium level water the weight of the uniform will make the solider wearing it drown. • What are lice? Lice are tiny wingless insects. They are 1 to 3 millimetres long, or 1/8 inches. There are several types of lice including some like tiny crabs. They suck blood and the • Symptoms are a tiny white dot attached to a piece of hair • And a conmen problem with the conmen ANZAC solider.
