This approach incorporates waiving or postponing certain requirements in emergency cases, exemplified by the Paramount Bridge replacement, while maintaining processes for non-emergency situations. The Caltrans-developed Project Delivery Acceleration Toolbox, updated regularly since 2002, identifies 169 improvements, emphasizing standardized processes, project development training, innovative construction contract tools, and advanced technologies to enhance efficiency and reduce project timelines.
