Notes Life In Our Universe • What are the 6 requirements for life? • (according to science) • Each group will choose one life form from Earth and list how it displays the 6 characteristics • Example: Tiger • Use energy: Tigers burn calories from the meat they eat in order to move and sustain life functions • (2) Respond to stimuli: 5 senses • (3) Regulate its internal structure to maintain a stable condition: Tigers are warm blooded and regulate their body temperature by panting (like a dog)(

Notes Life In Our Universe • What are the 6 requirements for life? • (according to science) • Each group will choose one life form from Earth and list how it displays the 6 characteristics • Example: Tiger • (4) Reproduce: Tigers reproduce sexually • (5) Adapt to their environment: Tigers adapted stripes as camouflage • (6) Grow: Tigers start out as small cubs and grow to be hundreds of pounds in weight.
