The 2010 Summer School program in Nottoway County Public Schools saw a total attendance of 235 K-12 students. Focused on early literacy and math skills, the program included activities designed to enhance reading comprehension, phonics, number recognition, and writing through journals and fun hands-on activities. For intermediate and middle school levels, it incorporated individualized instruction and technology aids, while high school classes offered opportunities for credit recovery in core subjects. With effective communication and smaller class sizes, this initiative aimed at drop-out prevention proved to be a resounding success.
