Scientist Rejected Wegener's Ideas Alfred Wegener gets most credit for the idea that the continents have moved to their current locations… Why weren’t Wegener’s ideas accepted? • They wanted more… EVIDENCE to explain. Wegener’s biggest problem was explaining how the continents could have moved!
