What is Glogster? Glogster is a website that allows teachers and students to create Glogs.
What are Glogs? • Glogs – online multimedia posters • Created using a very simple, drag and drop interface that is relevant, enjoyable, and scalable for students of all ages and learning styles. • It is an interactive visual platform in which users create a “poster or web page” containing multimedia elements including: text, audio, video, images, graphics, drawings, and data.
What can they be used for? • New Spin on Book Reports • Multimedia Presentation of Research Reports • Class Projects • Homework • Presentations on any topic What This Does for the Student: • Develop student creativity • Expand students' presentational skills • Make learning fun • Create broader audience for students’ presentations
How do I make one? It’s really simple! Your very own Glog is just a “drag and drop” away!!!
Go to the website, http://www.glogster.com. Once there, you have to register/create and account to begin "glogging."
2. After registering, to create a Glog, click on the icon that reads, “Create New Glog."
3. The images present are there by default and can be deleted by clicking on them and then clicking on the trashcan or simply clicking on them and pressing delete on the computer keyboard.
4. Next, click on the wall to change the background, select your background of choice and click "use it."
5. Click “text” to include your written components (must click on the image and press edit to add text).
6. Click on image to upload pictures (click "add a frame" to add a border to your image).
7. Click on video to include any relevant videos OR animation.
10. After you have previewed your blog and made all of the necessary edits, press "Save and Publish." Make sure to make your pages PUBLIC.
