Medium of performance of musical content (RDA 7.21) • Scope = “the instrument, instruments, voice, voices, etc., used (or intended to be used) for performance of musical content” • Source: any source within the resource • MARC 500 field: use abbreviations for voices from appendix B (not new MARC 382 field; not subfield $m in access point) RDA at LC 2011 -- Module D

  13. Supplementary content (RDA 7.16) • Scope = “content (e.g., an index, a bibliography, an appendix) designed to supplement the primary content of a resource” • LC: core for indexes and bibliographies in a monograph; see LCPS 7.16 • MARC 504 field RDA at LC 2011 -- Module D

  14. Language of the content (RDA 7.12) • Scope = “language used to express the content of a resource” • Not programming language • Not subfield $l in authorized access point • LCPS about language names, etc. • MARC 008/35-37, 041 and 546 fields RDA at LC 2011 -- Module D
