According to Indeed’s national employment data, the number of job openings for roles as well as house keeper, travel advisor, and chef rose by over 10,000 compared to the same time last year and over 1,000 on the previous month. For the meantime, the number of people enthusiastically looking for professions in this industry has increased 7% since 2014, suggesting jobseekers are starting to understand the potential hospitality solutions within this market. Jobs growth across the hospitality and tourism sector comes as the industry get ready for another summer boom across hotels, restaurants and bars. Inbound tourism body VisitBritain foresees that the industry will grow by an extra £1 billion in tourist spend this year. This follows a record year in 2014, which saw incoming visits rise by 2 million to 34.8 million on the previous year, while overseas visitors spent £21.7 billion - up 3% on 2013.
