This study explores the relationship between infants' crying behavior and later IQ levels. Researchers measured infants' crying response to stimulation and found a potential link to higher IQ scores at age three. The study utilized regression analysis to examine this correlation.

Infants who cry easily may be more easily stimulated than others. This may be a sign of higher IQ. A snap of a rubber band on the sole of the foot caused the infants to cry. They later measured the children's IQ at age three years using the Stanford-Binet IQ test.
