2014 OUTSTANDING YOUNG AGENTS InVEST SUPPORTER

The Young Agents Council of the Florida Association of Insurance Agents was recognized for their outstanding achievement in promoting Young Agent involvement in InVEST. Their efforts resulted in a 30% increase in volunteer participation and expanded InVEST programs in 16 active schools throughout the state.

  4. Florida InVEST • 16 active InVEST schools throughout the state • InVEST Committee with YA members • 30% increase volunteer participation. • YA members: 8/4% • State Assoc staff: 3/1.4% • YA’s: 37/18% • Company: 45/22% • Other’s: 114/55%

Florida InVEST The specific FAIA charge for our InVEST Task Force is to perpetuate and expand the current InVEST programs in high schools and community colleges to facilitate recruiting future employees for our agency members. For the 2013–2014 year, we focused on volunteers, program enhancements, and insurance career awareness.

The How • We shared our InVEST stories during FAIA’s annual Convention by filing the exhibit hall booth with students and volunteers. • We participated in local Insurance board meetings where agents, company representatives, and volunteer prospects were present. • We hosted many YAC Zone Networking events which included InVEST students as speakers. These events were attended by agency clients, other industry professionals and state legislators. • The Young Agents also participated in FSU’s RMI Insurance Days program. This opportunity allowed us to talk with FSU students about becoming involved with InVEST as soon as they are working in the industry. • Teach the Teacher
