Physical Activity, Exercise and Physical Fitness • Physical Activity- any movement that works the larger muscles of the body, such as the arms legs, and back muscles. • Exercise- physical activity that is planned, structured and repetitive, and that results in improvements in fitness. • Physical Fitness- the body’s ability to carry out daily tasks and still have enough reserve energy to respond to unexpected demands.

Personal Fitness • What influences your personal fitness? • Why is personal fitness important? • Personal Fitness is total fitness. • Maintain acceptable levels of PF • Participate regularly in PA • Eat nutritious foods • Sleep 8-9 hours (story) • Regular medical checkups • Maintain appropriate weight • Avoid harmful substances
