To break barriers of church growth resistance we need the following people empowermentk`m hfÀ¨bpsS XS椀 \o§m³ Bhiyamb LSI§Ä • Spiritual BßoIX • Specific function and skill • People and relationship skills • Motivational skills • Experiential, mentoring and intern • Leadership duplication ability

  4. The universal Principle of Church Leadership • Great Leaders will build great churches • Average leaders will build average churches • Anti-leaders will harm and break down churches as well as church leaders and their visions for God

Internal resistance to change - anti-leaders hinder growthk`bpsS t\XrXzw ZÀi\apÅhcmbncnt¡Ww • Great care should be taken before appointing new spiritual and functional leaders • Before discussing spiritual matters all leaders should spend time in prayer, praise and worship • Immediately after that spiritual or vision-related issues should first be discussed

Spirituality versus Legalism - Raise the level of spiritualityin the Church • A well developed weeklyprayer program with highinvolvement of the leadershipis vital to the maintenance of a healthy climate of peace, inspiration, enthusiasm and joy • The question is whether the members of a congregation is “on fire”, committed and enthusiastic to carry out the divinely imparted vision of a congregation with contagious joy. • If the prayer meetings of a church is viewed as inspiring to attend it has a significant impact on both the the quality and quantity of a church

  7. Cold and impersonal services hinder growth • Attending church should be the highlight of the week • Much care should be given to create a warm, loving and caring atmosphere for newcomers as well as current members.

  12. Build spiritual momentum and maintain it at all costsBßoI A´co£w \ne\nÀ¯pI • Church members must be gripped by a new devotion to Christ. Create a high level of expectation • Create inspiring events and goals to achieve • Seek a high level of Holy Spirit involvement through a powerful prayer base

  13. Determine your weaknesses]cmPb§Ä a\ÊnemçI • Taking a sober look at the principles of growth - find the areas that have to be improved and work constructively on them

  14. Periodically discern and address your weaknesses

  15. Develop, enhance and exercise your strengths • After determining your ministry strengths they should receive continuous fine tuning and enhancement

  16. Set realistic goals • Talk is cheap - therefore set realistic goals that both the church leader and his leadership can believe and pray for

  17. Identify growth-resistance factors and obstacleshfÀ¨bpsS XS椀 a\ÊnemçI • There are sometimes things right under our noses that we overlook that cause resistance to growth that must be changed or eliminated

  18. Develop goodwill and trust through integrity and holiness in the churchhnizmkyX \ne\nÀ¯pI • Trust and goodwill is earned. Once violated it takes much time to recover. A good name is more precious than gold

  19. Continuously seek the presence and power of the Holy Spirit in your church]cnip²mßmhnsâ km¶n²yhpw ssZhiànbpsS hym]mchpw k` \ne\nÀ¯pI • Much study has been done on many subjects, but the presence and power of the Holy Spirit and His anointing has been much underestimated
