Get Active at UWinnipeg: John M. King Students Engage in Movement Education Class

Grade 4, 5, and 6 students from John M. King school visit UWinnipeg for a Movement Education session. Dr. Glen Bergeron and Wes Lee, the Coyote mascot, welcome the students. UWinnipeg students lead activities, engaging in fun teaching moments and friendly competitions with the visiting kids.

  1. Get Together, Get Activeat UWinnipeg! John M. King Students visit UWinnipeg Movement Ed Class

  2. Grade 4, 5 and 6 students from nearby John M. King schoolgather in the UWinnipeg Gym at the Duckworth Centre

  3. Dr. Glen Bergeron, Chair of the Department of Kinesiology & Applied Health welcomes the students, as does Wesmen Mascot, Wes Lee, the Coyote.

  4. UWinnipeg Students from Fred Gutoski’s Movement Education class will instruct the children and lead the afternoon’s activities

  5. The University students are ready to teach and BE TAUGHT by the John M. King students!

  6. Wes Lee clowns around with Professor Glenbefore activities begin!

  7. And then they’re off!

  8. Wes Lee Hoops it up!

  9. Some instruction in Wallyball – played like volleyball – but with a beach ball!

  10. Now it’s the kids’ turn!

  11. A teachable moment…

  12. From his waist…. …to the floor! Girls win!

  13. A little friendly competition!

  14. Thank you, kids! That was lots of fun!
