Prior Knowledge What we learned That a tornado vacuums stuff up Spins 300 miles per hour Violent storms • They can damage houses • Destroy your houses • Blow up cars if it gets struck by lightening • Start a fire with lightening • Stay away from windows • Go to the bathroom or basement • The rain comes down hard if there is a tornado coming you need to get someone to pick you up

  4. Why do Tornadoes Form? Prior Knowledge What we learned Warm air traps a cloud and it becomes a tornado, it breaks through the cool air Vacuums everything in its path and if nothing is in a path it cant vacuum it up • Clouds come together to make a tornado and they keep spinning
