  5. Tagline • “Hunting for acts that rock.” • “The dangerous world of the unconventional.” • “Music that’ll make your ears ring.” • “Delivering to the vicarious deviant.” • “There is no alternative to Headhunter.” • “Rock that bites back.” • “Not just for Christmas.”

  6. Editorial Mission Statement • My magazine will appeal to a number of young adults and teenagers, aiming to bring them all the latest musical endeavours from their favourite bands as well as introducing new bands for them to watch out for. My magazine will talk about several different sub-genres of alternative rock to draw in a wider audience.

  7. Unique Selling Point • I will have the diversity between well know popular bands from the alt. rock genre and lesser known undiscovered bands who are looking to kick off their career. • It will contain a QR code at the end of an issue for readers with a QR reader app on their phone will be able to download a free song from an up and coming band.

  8. Reader Profile • The reader for my magazine is Felix Bosh, a 23 year old university graduate living in West London. After obtaining a technology degree from Imperial College London, he has a paid internship at a software development company based in Hammersmith. Bosh has a keen interest in music and can play the guitar fairly well. He is particularly interested in punk and indie rock and has a large collection of albums by bands from these genres. As an avid reader of the alternative rock magazine “Headhunter”, Bosh tends to buy a copy every month and even occasionally buys a copy of “Rock Sound” when he’s exhausted every avenue. Bosh’s love for “Headhunter” stems from their inclusion of less well known bands from the underground scene as well as some of the big names – its this diversity that really grips him.

  9. Front Cover Ideas Issue 167 of Rock Sound is full of information but does not appear overcrowded. The photo is themed around an article. The colour scheme on this copy of Q is the same as all it’s other issues. The house style uses some good fonts and has a good photo layout. This cover is similar to a previous issue of the same magazine and is consistent. It show’s the 3 members of Muse standing in a formation. This cover has an interesting layout and the colours are respective of the band’s name. Although bright they compliment each other.
