  4. Landform • Feature of the Earth’s surface • Examples: mountains, valleys, hills, dunes, oceans, rivers, plateaus, etc.

  5. Glacier • A huge formation of ice that moves slowly over land

  6. Sand Dune • Hills formed by blowing sand

  7. Sediment • Very small particles formed by wind, water, and ice

  8. Valley • A low area of land between hills or mountains

  9. Canyon • A deep river valley with steep sides

  10. Delta • Triangle shaped landform where sediment deposits at the mouth of a river

  11. volcano • An opening in Earth’s crust through which lava and ash erupt

  12. Earthquake • Movement or vibrations of Earth’s crust due to plates shifting
