  5. Appraisal Appraisals are usually done by an employees direct line manager. It typically takes place as a meeting once the employee has completed a form/questionnaire style sheet. The idea is to review targets set last year, check progress and set targets for following year. It is worth having a mid year review to enable the employee has best opportunity to achieve their targets or change them if necessary.
