This study explores the results of sequencing gaps and segmental duplications on chromosome 17. Utilizing oligo probes and bacterial artificial chromosome (BAC) clones, we aim to enhance the understanding of the genetic structure and organization of this chromosome. The analysis includes a detailed assessment of RefSeq genes and their arrangement in relation to segmental duplications. Our findings contribute to genomic mapping and provide insights into the functional implications of these duplications in chromosomal architecture.
