  2. What is global warming? • Average temperatures • Rising- going up • Scientists-observed • Collecting data • carbon dioxide air pollution • Collecting in the atmosphere like a thickening blanket

  3. What are weather patterns?(what kinds?) • More Rain • Ice caps melting • Rising sea levels • Much more severe flooding • Average global temperature has increased past 50 years • Doesn’t create makes hurricanes stronger more dangerous

  4. Cause & Effect • Ice shelves melting polar bears are in danger of becoming extinct • Disappear swim further distances many drowning •    Polar bears have been known to swim 100 miles (161 kilometers) at a stretch.
