  5. National Food Security Mission Himachal Pradesh not included in the National Food Security Mission. Additional Central Assistance Scheme  District Agriculture Plans are being prepared.  State Agriculture Plan shall be prepared after compiling District Agriculture Plans.

  6. Extension 1. Central Sponsored Scheme Extension Reforms: (Rs. in lac)

  7. UCC’s and progress report for 2005-2006 and 2006-2007 submitted. Audit in progress 5 New District added in the Year 2007-2008; State level workshop held on 16-17 August, 2007. Notification of GB ATMA, AMC, BTT etc. issued. Trainings of SREP core team started from 10th Sept., 2007. SEWP for five districts shall be submitted shortly. 2. Mass Media Support and Kisan Call Centre have proved beneficial in Extension.

Marketing  APMC Act amended and New Act enacted on lines with Model Act. Provisions made in New Act for; * Alternate marketing system (Pvt./Coop.) * Contract farming * Direct marketing * Single point levy of market fee Rules under APMC Act framed Pilot project for “Strengthening of Agricultural Marketing system” taken up with NIAM/ USAID
