According to dictionary.com… a continuous, systematic narrative of past events as relating to a particular people, country, period, person, etc., usually written in chronological order the record of past events and times, especially in connection with the human race an accountof acts, ideas, or events that will or can shape the course of the future a drama representing historical events

  3. According to Mrs. B… History is A STORY!

  4. But the Question is…Who is telling the story?!?

  5. Quickwrite: 1. How might the “story” of an event change depending on the person who is telling it? 2. Give a current example of an event for which there might be more than one side to the “story.”

  12. Agree, Disagree, or Undecided… The study of American History is biased to emphasize the experience of white males of European descent.

  13. Agree, Disagree, or Undecided… Although the United States is made up of many different groups with many different interests, we as Americans need a common understanding of our nation’s past.

  17. Agree, Disagree, or Undecided… America and the world today basically took shape since World War II ended. Early American history– the Pilgrims, the War of 1812 and so on – may be interesting, but not very relevant to current day.

  18. With so many different opinions, so much bias, So many conflicting points of view and interpretations… How will we ever know the truth? How will we ever know what really happened? …OR WILL WE?
