Where and How to Draw a Face:. Where to: draw the parts of the face. You will need: Small sheet of paper from the shelf Pencil Eraser Eventually, your folder. Start by finding the middle of your page Draw an eye and an eyebrow, slightly off center. Eyes should be 1 eye-width apart.

Start by finding the middle of your page • Draw an eye and an eyebrow, slightly off center • Eyes should be 1 eye-width apart Placing the Eye
Placing the Nose • Nose length can vary, but generally is 3 eyes high • The width of the nostrils line up with the inside edges of the eye
1/3 of the face is eyebrow to bottom of nose • 1/3 of the face is bottom of nose to chin • 1/3 of the face is eyebrow to hairline • Eyes rest in the middle of the head Creating the shape of the head
Ears will rest in the middle 1/3 of the face • They can ride a little low, or a little high Finding the ears
Divide the space from the nose to chin into thirds • The opening of the mouth is 1/3 of the way down from the nose • The corners of the mouth will match up with the centers of the eye • The chin will be the last third of the space Placing the Mouth
