Training • DeSSA Overview (include Security) • Smarter Interim Administration Training (includes AVA, THSS, AIRways reporting) IAB Test Administration Not Secure, Not Public • Administration in a secure environment • Use Directions for Administering (DFA) script in the Interim TAM • Different from summative in after testing activities: • Teachers can collaborate in a closed environment to review, discuss, score and make instructional decisions • Student responses may be displayed in a closed environment to facilitate discussion but should not be captured or stored (such as Smart Board) Still limit exposure to items for validity of future assessments

  16. Assessment Viewing Application (AVA) AVA & THSS • Educators and students can see the interim test without using specific student login information (20 min pause rule applies). Teacher Hand Scoring (THSS) • Non-machine scored items go to the TA administering the assessment via THSS • Teacher views items, scores and submit scores • Online resources include rubrics, exemplars, training guides
