Copy all five steps of the engineering design process. (The steps are in blue-bold font). Skip two spaces between each step. • Next read pages 24 and 25. • When complete. Wait for further instructions. 1

Design Process (EDP) via notes (4) Review EDP with an activity at the work stations • (5) Copy this downin your agenda: • Finish any project work Silly Thought: I almost had a psychic girlfriend…. 2 …but she dumped me before we met. 

RSM Engineering Design Process Aug 27, 2011 Small Group Activity • I will divide you up into groups and send you to a work station • At each work station are two EDP products made by former students • Tasks: • Try to identify what the product is, and write that on the dry erase board at your work station. • Next identify the technology “need” that the product was trying to address (Note: This is step 1 of the EDP) 3
