  3. Introduction Whatis the freespacetool: • allows to calculate the free volume of an assembly Taking count of the elements inside!

  4. Introduction Process: Freespace • You need a closed volume!

  5. Introduction Closing the volume: Closed volume New part in the assembly  no need to modify the model

  6. Introduction LaunchCalculation: Generate a CGR of the free space of the assembly • So that we just have to measure the volume of this freespace • Note that you can save the CGR in in SmarTeam but it won’t be associative

  7. Introduction Accuracy: • The volume calculated is approximate but you can control the accuracy • The volume calculated is always smaller than the real one • Test realised on a tube 30m diameter/40m long: • Calculated volume = 99.3% of real volume, calculated in 1min 30s • An FAQ is available now, explaining the whole process
