  1. THE COST OF LOVE GENESIS 22:1-14

  2. £1,340 £214 £595,000,000 £24,000

  3. ABRAHAM’S FAITH We see Abraham’s response of faith. FAITH= belief + trust + ACTION! He knew that God‘s will never contradicts God’s promise, so he held on to the promise God had made to him that would be fulfilled through Isaac. Genesis 21:12‘... Isaac is the son through whom your descendants will be counted.’ Genesis 22:5.“Stay here with the donkey,” Abraham told the servants. “The boy and I will travel a little farther. We will worship there, and then we will come right back.”

  4. GOD’S PROVISION Genesis 22:8, “God himself will provide the lamb for the burnt offering, my son.” And the two of them went on together. God Himself will provide the sacrifice, and He did!

  5. The difference that makes all the difference! Isaac is saved from death, whereas the Lord Jesus saves through death.

  6. THE COST OF LOVE Just as Abraham offers his beloved son, so too God offers his beloved Son as a sacrifice. Just as the cost must have been terrible for Abraham to consider, so also the price of the Lord Jesus was a terrible sacrifice. John 3:16 “For God loved the world so much that he gave his one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life.
